Cookie and tracker policy

This policy explains which cookies rentacrate.gr uses, what you choose, and how to change your mind at any time. Last updated: 23 August 2026.

1. How cookie management works

On rentacrate.gr, third-party cookies and tracking technologies are not loaded by default. Before any action on your part, every analytics and advertising tool stays dormant.

Refusing closes nothing off: you can read the prices, book crates and pay without accepting a single optional cookie.

In practice: anything that is not strictly necessary for the page to work stays switched off until explicit consent is given.DEFAULT: OFF

2. Cookie categories

The categories in use and what they are for
Necessary, for the basket, the booking session, the language that comes from the address you are on, the security tokens on our forms and correct delivery from the cache. Without them an order cannot be completed.
Analytics, these show how many people visit and which pages get read. Refusing them changes nothing about how the site works.
Marketing, campaign measurement and re-showing advertisements. Refusing has no consequence for you.
Payment (necessary), on the basket and payment pages the payment provider Viva Wallet sets cookies required to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. The payment is completed on a secure Viva Wallet page and the cookies are set only as part of that process.

Note: the site’s fonts are served from our own server. No request is made to Google Fonts or any other delivery network, so your IP address does not reach a third party just because you read a page.

3. Google Consent Mode v2

Where Google services are used on the site, the consent signals for analytics and advertising are initialised as denied from the first paint of the page until the visitor actively consents. This architecture prevents any data collection before a positive choice.

Consent state updates take effect immediately on pressing Accept / Reject / Manage.

4. Where your choice is stored

Your consent choice is kept locally in the browser so the prompt does not have to appear on every visit. The system uses the following storage mechanisms, in order of preference:

Internal keys such as rcc_consent_choice, rcc_consent_time and rcc_consent_uuid hold your choice between sessions. rcc_consent_uuid is a random number and is not linked to your name, your email or your order.

5. Revoking consent (clearing)

If you withdraw or narrow your consent at any time, through Manage in the banner, the system starts an automatic clear-out of every cookie and storage item belonging to tracking services.

Excluded from the clear-out: cookies necessary for the site’s basic operation (form state, session authentication, security tokens). Removing those would throw away your basket.

6. Do Not Track and embedded content

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal and there is no earlier consent on record, we read it as a preference for maximum privacy (the non-necessary categories are treated as refused). In addition, the map on the contact page is shown as a picture and loads from Google’s servers only after an explicit interaction by the visitor.

Consent preferences can be changed at any time through Manage in the cookie banner. Independently of that, you can delete or block cookies in your browser’s own settings. For anything else: info@rentacrate.gr and the Privacy statement.
